WHY BE BAPTIZED?

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. Therefore, we are to act out physically what takes place spiritually. We do this when someone has made a conscious decision to believe and serve Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It is a public declaration that the old is gone and the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Romans 6:3 & 4 "Aren't you aware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life."

Baptism is a representation of our old carnal life being buried and we come up resurrected in the power of His Spirit.

John called water baptism, a baptism of repentance, in which we are all in need of. We are baptized to also follow the example of Christ our Lord.
